All three must be addressed. Solving only the last one does not make the first two safe.

Mass, volume, concentration, and device markings differ


Milligrams and micrograms describe mass. Milliliters describe volume. A concentration connects mass with volume. Syringe “units” are device markings, not a universal amount of BPC-157. A number copied without its unit is incomplete information.

Do not convert between these quantities from memory. Do not assume two syringes, sprays, droppers, capsules, or vials use equivalent markings. The responsible pharmacist should provide product-specific directions in unambiguous units.

Decimal and prefix errors can be large


Abbreviations, missing leading zeros, trailing zeros, small type, and confusion between milli and micro prefixes can create large differences. Screenshotting a calculator result does not preserve the assumptions that produced it.

The label must match the exact container

Do not assume that free base, acetate, blended peptide, or a product with a similar name can use the same directions. A calculator cannot correct a chemical-identity ambiguity.

Why a certificate does not complete the chain


A certificate of analysis may apply to raw material, a different lot, or selected tests. Check sample identity, lot, laboratory, methods, specifications, results, and date. Even a relevant raw-material certificate does not establish finished-product concentration, uniformity, sterility, endotoxin control, container compatibility, or stability after preparation.

FDA highlights peptide aggregates, related impurities, microbial quality, and dosage-form attributes as material concerns. A headline purity percentage is not a substitute.

Reconstitution creates additional failure points

What to do after a possible error


Do not take another amount to correct the mistake. Record the exact product, label, concentration as written, device, route, estimated exposure, time, symptoms, and other substances. Urgent symptoms include trouble breathing, facial or throat swelling, fainting, chest pain, confusion, seizure, severe shortness of breath, high fever, rapidly spreading redness, pus, red streaks, uncontrolled bleeding, or severe escalating pain.

Do not turn a missed exposure into a measurement error


There is no validated catch-up rule. Do not double, compress timing, or calculate an extra amount. Record what was missed and when, and let the prescriber decide whether anything changes.

The contrast with an approved medicine is instructive.
